If you keep up with the aesthetic and beauty industry, chances are you have seen or heard of The Gua Sha tool and Jade Roller. The truth is Gua Sha is actually not a new trend and has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are many benefits to using a gua sha tool as well as a Jade Roller.

What are the benefits of Jade Rolling?

-Promotes lymphatic drainage
-Reduces puffiness and inflammation in the skin
-Relieves facial tension
-Improves blood circulation

How to use a Jade Roller?

-You can start rolling upward on your neck toward your jawline, rolling it in a back and forth motion
-At your jawline roll upward from your chin toward your ears, and then up to your cheekbones
-At your forehead you can apply the same back and forth motion
-Use the smaller end for more delicate areas like the under eyes with the same back and forth motion
-Use with oils and serums for deeper penetration and absorption.

What are the benefits of a Gua Sha Tool?

-Promotes lymphatic drainage
-Reduces puffiness and inflammation in the skin
-Relives facial tension
-Improves blood circulation
-Helps skincare products penetrate deeper in the skin
-Sculpts and contours cheekbones and jawline
-It is designed with multiple shapes and edges that can be used in different ways
-Smooths texture and fine lines and wrinkles

How to use a Gua Sha tool?

-This technique involves scraping the edge of the gua sha
-Begin with the neck and scrape downward-Scrape upward and follow the contour on your jawline, chin, and around your mouth
-Scrape upward on your cheeks
-Scrape from the inside of your undereye outward toward your temple
-Scrape upward onto your forehead and brow area. You do not need to apply heavy pressure.

I go over each area about five times.
After each use wash your tool with warm water and gentle soap.

Both of these products can be purchased here at our office. We’ll be glad to answer any questions!

Cheers!
